CES publishes several titles, which aim at the promotion of original and relevant academic studies, both nationally and internationally produced.
Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais publishes three times a year the results of advanced research in all fields of the social and human sciences. It favours works with a transdisciplinary approach which contribute to theoretical discussion, epistemological thinking, and critical knowledge about contemporary reality on a global scale. RCCS accepts submissions about all geographical contexts, giving special attention to studies which specially contribute to theoretical and epistemological innovation coming from the global South.
All submissions are subjected to double-blind peer review.
e-cadernos ces is biannual online journal which aims at the promotion of advanced research produced within the social sciences and humanities, privileging critical and inter/transdisciplinary perspectives. Published online, e-cadernos ces privileges original papers, resulting from conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as research articles carried out within advanced training programmes and scientific research projects. e-cadernos ces publishes only thematic issues, and all issues have an open call for papers. Papers are subjected to double-blind peer review.
Cescontexto is an online publication with the results of research activities and scientific events developed by the Centre for Social Studies.
Oficina do CES is an online publication which aims at the promotion of work in progress. It publishes currently twelve times a year.
Cabo dos Trabalhos is an electronic journal from the doctoral programmes of the Centre for Social Studies in partnership with the University of Coimbra Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Law, and the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research. It publishes exclusively: essays written by doctoral students in these faculties/institutes, conferences given by guest professors, interviews, communications and other items of interest.
The CES/Almedina Collection seeks to mirror the interdisciplinary focus which is the hallmark of the research carried out at the Centre for Social Studies as well as the diversity of themes centred on the social and human sciences. This partnership’s scope is enhanced by the collaboration of the prestigious publisher Editora Almedina and the scientific output created by the CES.
Cadernos do Observatório are published within Observatório das Crises e das Alternativas and release current research results. There is also Barómetro das Crises, which focuses on empirically sustained intervention in public debate.
